My Story

Hi, I’m Theresa, and I was born and raised in Livermore, California. It’s here, in this beautiful area, that I discovered my deep love and passion for horses. I’ve been fortunate to spend over 15 years immersed in the equestrian world, and as a local, I had the privilege of building my riding foundation right here at Highland Riding nearly 13 years ago.

Since then, I’ve gained competitive experience in Hunter Jumper and developed a well-rounded understanding of breeding and training across several disciplines, including English, Western, and Saddle Seat. I also had the opportunity to work as a groom at the Cal Poly Pomona Horse Center, where I gained invaluable hands-on experience and honed my skills.

During my time at Cal Poly, I was honored to serve as the Hunt Seat Captain of the IHSA equestrian team, a role that helped me grow as both a rider and a leader.

I’m thrilled to return back to Livermore to start my own business and train students at the very place that helped shape my journey.
